LVX 12KW WP is a brand new split phase hybrid (grid-interactive) inverter developed based on new construction procedure, specifically to target the rising power demand of users in the 120/240V split phase North American market. Featuring max 12KW PV array support, this model can deliver up to 10KW of maximum continuous power and up to 15KW with grid-relay function enabled. In addition to UL1741 and CSA certifications for North America, we are also pleased to announce LVX 12K WP is now CEC listed (California Energy Commission). Benefits of being CEC listed allows customers to qualify for applicable Federal rebate / credit / loan.

An important feature for a hybrid inverter is the ability to fulfill “zero grid injection“. LVX 12KW WP is able to achieve this with the use of CT sensors (standard accessory) and once this feature is activated, the inverter will direct all incoming PV energy for self-consumption, as illustrated below.
Similar to the MPI Hybrid series (MPI 10K, MPI 12K/15K WP),this model also retains Grid Relay feature and will increase maximum power capacity from 10KW to 15KW (5KW power boost from grid) when this feature is enabled. For more details on this please refer to catalog & user manual.
Unique to the LVX 12KW WP, the ability to AC couple with existing grid-tie inverter which allows users to transform existing home RE system with greater flexibility, battery backup, and better utility of PV array. Note: this is an OPTIONAL feature and will require firmware update and setting and wiring change in order to fulfill application. IP65 WP Installation Guidance
- WARNING: please do NOT install units on sites where there is direct exposure to sunlight, rain, snow, >95% humidity, near antenna or at altitude >2km above sea level
Using Generator as AC-Input
- Generator power is recommended to be 50% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload and inverter-generator type is recommended for its cleaner output than conventional generators. Unsuitable generator output will be rejected by the inverter. See guide.
- Generator port will be automatically disabled when grid is available or when inverter is set up for parallel.
Grid Relay
- Additional power boost may be achieved at AC output by activating “grid-relay” feature on the inverter, available only in Off-Grid modes I and II via setting in SolarPower. Grid injection will be disabled when off-grid modes are selected.
