  • This MPI 30KW WP is the latest (and also the largest) IP65 solar hybrid inverter in MPP Solar product line, to date, with these marked features

    1. High PV input design (1000V) with TRIPLE 3X PV input
    2. Wide DC input design 500V-900V for HV battery banks
    3. Parallel-ready capable up to 4 units (120KW)
    4. 3rd-Generation SiC high efficiency MOSFET with improved durability

    Maximum power output now is up to 30KW continuously.  With 3 PV MPPT input (trackers), users have access to 2 (+) and 2 (-) terminals so 6 PV input terminal sets available.  Similar to the MPI 10K, 3 primary modes are also available on the 30KW:

    IP65 WP Installation Guidance

    • do NOT install units on sites where there is direct exposure to sunlight, rain, snow, >95% humidity, near antenna or at altitude >2km above sea level

    Using Generator as AC-Input

    • Generator power is recommended to be 50% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload.
    • Inverter-generator is recommended due to its cleaner output than conventional generators.  Unsuitable generator output may be rejected by the inverter.
    • When using generator as AC input – grid injection must be DISABLED.

    IMPORTANT

    1. accessories such as Energy Meter, Modbus Card, and Modbus Server are all optional and may be purchased separately to establish energy meter application.
    2. Energy meter does not support parallel operation (load sharing) so when connecting multiple inverters to the energy meter, parallel function needs to be disabled.

  • These optional accessories may be sourced separately to fulfill “zero grid injection”.   Note – when using energy meter, the inverter must be programmed in Grid-Tie with Backup II mode and this also works only in single-unit operation, not parallel.
