The Energy Meter (SDM630MCT V2), Modbus Card, and Modbus Server are optional accessories specifically used for MPI hybrid series inverters only. The Modbus Card / Energy Meter combination acts as a monitor and detect presence of any “family load” (load connected at the AC load network side) so that inverter can supply power to this, without feeding back to grid, and thus fulfill “zero grid injection“. Modbus server is an optional accessory required for combining Modbus signals, when users have 2 or 3 units of inverters in the system. For more details, see wiring example below.
