CANbus BMS Support Update

Applicable only to models produced on/after Q4, 2022, 3024GK/5048GK can now enable CANbus support for BMS connection through this update. Simply download file to PC and extract folder to desktop, then follow this guide to launch program file. After successful update, user can then have access to a new additional setting under “Battery Type” (05) specifically for CANbus.

This PIP-GK series is a brand new model with combined features from PIP-GE (PF1.0, high PV input voltage, battery-optional operation) and PIP-MS series (remote LCD display, built-in MPPT solar charger), with these NEW features —
SOLAR + UTILITY COMBINE OUTPUT
- Available on GK models: output to load can now be combined from SOLAR+ UTILITY source simultaneously if solar power is insufficient. This feature applies to both when battery is connected or also when unit is running in batteryless mode. To avoid any misunderstanding, please note MAX output power from the inverter from any source(s) of power, singly or jointly, remains unchanged and is still the same as the designed rating (e.g. 3KW for 3024GK and 5KW for 5048GK).
There are two models in this series:
- 3024GK (3KW/24VDC, 80A MPPT, max 500Voc PV, max 4KW PV array)
- 5048GK (5KW/48VDC, 80A MPPT, max 500Voc PV, max 5KW PV array)
Starting 2019, 5048GK is now officially compatible with Pylontech battery’s BMS system through the dedicated BMS port. A special data cable will be required and sold separately to facilitate the communication. Note this BMS communication works only with Pylontech batteries. Using Generator as AC-Input
- Generator power is recommended to be 50% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload.
- Inverter-generator is recommended due to its cleaner output than conventional generators. Unsuitable generator output may be rejected by the inverter.
